We were thrilled to have two GATE CITY teams present their inquiry projects at the annual Communities of Inquiry, Inquiries in Communities conference this past weekend at UNH Manchester. Erin Falabella, Carmen Kosow, and Kim Costa presented “Making Connections: Language in the Home and School Community,” and Liz Kosta, Carolyn Duquette, Holly LaVine, and Paula Papanicolaou shared their project, “What Are the Effects of Interactive Read Aloud Strategies on the Reading Development of First Grade CLD Students?”
Their audiences included both preservice and inservice teachers, community members, and even keynote speaker Shabina Kavimandan. It was great to have the GATE CITY Project and the two teams’ work represented at the conference. If you missed it this time around, start thinking about next year!
