2013 Summer Institute Recap

We had 40 educators from the Nashua School District, the University of New Hampshire, and the Manchester School District at our 2013 Summer Institute. During this professional development workshop, teachers worked in collaborative groups alongside UNH faculty to apply elements of functional linguistics and genre-based pedagogy to their own units. To read a great article about the workshop, click here. Thanks to all who participated and for the feedback after. We are already looking ahead to 2014 Summer Institute!

  1. Carmen Kosow says:

This was a wonderful full two days. It was great learning so many new ideas and approaches from so many great individuals.

  2. Lorna Spargo says:

I would be remiss if I did not comment that the summer institute was more than learning, it was an opportunity to make connections with other teachers and UNH professors, and their teaching/learning styles.
